We have stayed on this property for 2 weeks every summer for the last 5 years. They describe it as “rustic” which may be so but with washer and dryer on site, dishwasher,2 bathrooms with showers and a Million Dollar view of the St Lawrence River and the Thousand Island Bridge it is a slice of heaven.
Convenient to Clayton and Alexandria Bay, with boat dock at foot of property, spacious porch and living room with amazing view of the St Lawrence and the Freighters going by, sometimes I really don’t want to leave the property!
The friendly Host, Doug, is eager to accommodate guests needs and is very accessible
We have many happy memories here and consider it our home away from home See you in July!!

My family had a wonderful vacation at this home on the St. Lawrence River.
We enjoyed great fishing, swimming, boating, relaxing and many fine area restaurants. Alexandria Bay, Clayton and Canada are all close by. The home was very clean and comfortable and also well equipped. The home was very spacious with an amazing great room. Great ship watching and the bridge view at night is spectacular. The property manager Doug was always willing to help or point us in the right direction for any activities. We will absolutely be back again next year.

We had an amazing stay at the house at 19133 Peel Dock Road, Wellesley Island, right on the majestic St. Lawrence River. Our group of eight plus my infant grandson had plenty of space, with ample bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a large common area perfect for watching movies together and unwinding from the day. The home’s kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and then some. The location was fantastic – close to shopping with a lovely and quaint downtown.
One of the highlights was the incredible view from the large deck, where we could watch the massive ships passing silently along the river — It was truly breathtaking. Something we had never gotten to experience prior to this. The deck also had a table and chairs that we ate at while we barbecued and enjoyed the view.
Doug, the innkeeper who lives in “The Dollhouse” behind the main house, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. There was plenty of parking and the neighborhood was wonderful.
We can’t wait to return to this magical home in the future!

We rented the house in August of 2025 with friends and family. We absolutely loved the waterfront location and enjoyed watching the boats go by. We also swam in the river out front and the water was crystal clear and refreshing. The house was immaculate and very well appointed. Everything you need was supplied. The home is very well layed out, providing lots of space as well as privacy for a group. It was most convenient to have a caretaker near by and he was most helpful in offering suggestions of things to do and see. We have already reserved the property for next August and can’t wait to return. We highly recommend the house and area for a spectacular summer get-a-way.
